Signol Blues Vs Haughton Green Greens
Firstly id like to thank the boys for showing a huge amount of respect and remaining quiet and composed during the minute silence at the game. Its lovely to see young children being involved in such a huge mark of respect. They may not understand it all yet but they certainly did what was asked of them. Thank you and you mad me proud!
The game started off good, the boys look set in pace and were looking pretty hungry to win the game. Unfortunately there were a few mistakes and we lost the ball a lot. Particularly in our own half. None the less this didn't stop them driving on goal attempts. Josh and Rio scored which kept the momentum going. The weather wasn't helping them atal, but that did not dampen their spirits. Daniel was fantastic in net. He read the game and moved for the ball. listened to all instruction from both me and Che and he proved himself a very multi skilled footballer!
Welcome to Jackson, his debut for Signol and what a performance he put in. He tried so hard and stood strong in his defence position. He blended into the team perfectly. Looking forward to seeing more of you on the pitch!
Over all the game grew tough and you could see the odd glimpse of frustration in their faces but they didn't stop. The Blues never stop. The score line never reflects their game!
Man of the match and Captain next week is Daniel. What a fantastic job you did in goal for us! You proved you could work just as well with your keeping skills as your mid field skills!
Well done boys
Hayley
