Match Review - 14/11/15

Signol Reds Vs Shots FC Jedis

The game started out ok but we lost pace quickly and the lads were really struggling to get the ball back. We made quite a few mistakes too which didn't do us any favors. The other team were excellent in long balls, long shots on goal and will full power behind them! Pretty much all the goals went straight over Ethan's head! They were a great team to play. In the second half the game picked up a but for us, we were passing quicker and possession was ours! Was gear to see them enjoying themselves and communication well on pitch. Goals from Kian and Harry were well received by the boys. None the less this didn't dampen their spirit, like the rain dampened their hair! They all came off smiling! Great sportsmanship lads!

I knew from the onset this was going to be tough, we had no subs! Although the lads want to play a full game each week its clear to see why we need them, second half is always slower paced for us.
None the less the boys really put in some groundwork and made the opposition work hard! With Kieren in defence and Josh Center mid they tried really hard to keep the ball heading to Jackson in goal! What a game for Jackson, his keeping skills are brilliant! Read the game on put himself in the way of the ball as much as he could! Rio and Fin on the wings! Some fast runs from them both and goals from Rio and Josh were great! It did become apparent some of the things we really need to work on but that's what training is for! Well done today boys, weather was pants, no subs and you all played your socks off!

man of the match and Captain next week went to Jackson. I stood with him in Net just in case he needed some support but clearly he didn't! He knew the rules about pick ups and pass backs etc so i left him to it! He did very well saving some goals and he didn't grumble when i asked him to be keeper! Brilliant Jackson well done!
