Match Review 12/09/15

Signol Reds - FC Sports White

Well it certainly wasn't the weather we would of liked, i think the phrase "drowned rats" is an understatement but well done to the boys for carrying on and trying their best.
Before we went on the pitch i gave the boys one instruction and they carried it out perfectly. Captained by Kian they kept the ball in the oppositions half and really had them on their toes! We were looking very tight and the passing was spot on. By the whistle of the first half we were drawing 2-2 with a cracking goal from Kian and Caleb's constant persistence paid off. Second half and thing's started to slip. We made mistakes on the ball that cost us another goal unfortunately. But they tried their best and Caleb scored again and we were 3-3. Unfortunately FC Sports tapped in another and the game was theirs but i feel we played some beautiful football! Everyone enjoyed them selves and that's the main thing. I am really pleased with their performance today they have bonded fantastically over the summer and the team spirit is incredible!

Man of the match went to Kobe, he thought about where to put the ball in his free kick and delivered it beautifully, if it wasn't for their keeper being so good i feel that would of been another for us but well done Kobe and you will captain the team next Saturday!

Signol Blues - Heyside Juniors

Again another game of two halves. Captained by Rio we started very strong, moving the ball around and looking really good! A welcome goal from Rio perked the boys up and spurred them on! The other team were really good and appeared to have more experience as a team than us but that will come in time! I am really proud of the boys they all had a great time and was lovely to see how much they enjoyed it. This is a great starting point and its good to see what needs work and what they are confident with. Good effort from Kieren in goal too!

Man of the match went to Josh, his persistence is great, he doesn't stop going for the ball and trying his hardest to get it out of our half and into their net! He took a few rough tackles but he got back up and carried on! Well done Josh you will captain the team next Saturday!

Well done to all the boys, i was really happy with their performances and not letting the weather get the better of them! Fingers crossed its not like that again!

See you all at training Tuesday! :)
